Things you don't expect to say while teaching...

Do you ever stop what you're doing and look around and think- "How did I get to this moment right now?"  Yeah. Me, too. Today. Working with teenagers is NEVER boring. Ever. It hit me today after I had to say "Don't eat the eraser," that so many things come out of my mouth I never would have imagined.  Here is a list of ridiculous teacher-isms I had to say. To real people.

1. Don't eat the eraser. Why? Because you're a human.
2. Stop licking each other. 
   
3. Pull your shirt down.
4. Yes, you can write Spanish in cursive.
5. No, you cannot get your 60% up to an A in two days.
6. Stop dancing with people who don't expect it.
7. Wearing sunglasses in school does not make you cool.
8. No, shoving a pencil in your ear will not excuse you from finals, sorry.

That was just today. Can't wait until tomorrow...
